Public to Invited to Forums with the Finalists

MARTINSVILLE, VA – Beginning next week, the community will meet the four finalists who are vying to become Patrick Henry Community College’s (PHCC) next president. Each candidate will be invited, one by one, to visit the college and meet the community between May 3 and May 13. During their visit, they will each conduct an Open Forum to answer community members’ questions.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Open Forums will be held via Zoom. Community members are invited to tune into Open Forums at 9AM on the following dates.

Note, questions and comments will not be taken during the forum. Questions were submitted ahead of time by the community. Due to time limitations, not every submitted question will be asked.

After the Open Forum, participants will be invited to complete a survey to provide the selection committee with feedback on the candidates.
 
With the feedback from the campus visits, the Chancellor of Virginia’s Community Colleges will make the final decision before September 1, 2021. PHCC’s current president, Dr. Angeline Godwin is scheduled to retire on July 1, 2021.
